The Big Catch Anglers Association was established in January 2004.The purpose of the club/Association in getting together to share information, train and encourage adults as well as the youth in the sport of fishing. If you are an experienced angler/fishing person or a novice fisherman and are looking to expand your horizons, come and check us out.
We meet the second Sunday of the month at 3:00pm, at the VFW Post 311, located at 22341 S Governors Hwy, Richton Park, IL 60471, phone (708) 912-0983. The required yearly dues made by each adult club member is $60 and each child (18 and under) $12 a year respectively.
Each year, starting in the spring through October, we host a variety of fishing trips through out the Midwest for some of the best fishing ever. Most of our club sanctioned trips are overnights, in which we stay in cabins and motel units at a very inexpensive price, however, we do camp out 2 to 3 times a year, plus club members go on day trips together as much as time will allow. Some of biggest trips involve camping at Lake Shelbyville, IL, in which we hold fishing classes for the youth and adults, in assisting them to catch their first fish, and our July Walleye Charter Fishing Trip, where we spend about three days in Ohio having fun and doing more than just fishing. In Ohio, around the lake Erie area, there are so many attractions from the Cedar Point Amusement Park to taking a ferry over to the Lake Erie’s Islands, and we do it all(at very affordable prices).
